Day 1 (Wed):      Denver to Ogden, Utah

Day 2 (Thurs):   Ogden to Salmon, Idaho

Day 3 (Fri):         Salmon, ID to Lewiston, ID (Lewis & Clark)

Day 4: (Sat):       Lewiston to Ainsworth Hot Springs, British Columbia

Day 5: (Sun):     Ainsworth Hot Springs to Banff, Alberta

Day 6: (Mon):     Banff and Lake Louise sightseeing

Day 7: (Tues):    Banff to Kalispell, MT

Day 8: (Wed):     Kalispell to Great Falls, MT via Glacier Nat’l Park

Day 9: (Thurs):  Great Falls sightseeing (Lewis & Clark)

Day 10 (Fri):       Great Falls to Crow Agency, MT (Little Bighorn Battlefield)

Day 11 (Sat):      Crow Agency to Casper, WY

Day 12 (Sun):    Casper to Lakewood

DAY 1 (Wed. July 22 or 29): Lakewood to Ogden, UT (535 miles, 10 hours)

Ø  DEPART FROM STEVE’S HOUSE AT 6:00 AM SHARP.

Ø  Lakewood to Meeker (221 miles, 4 hours) (I-70; CO-13)

Ø  Meeker to Ogden (314 miles, 6 hours) (CO-13/789/64; US-40; I-80; I-84)

 

DAY 2 (Thurs. July 23 or 30): Ogden, UT, to Salmon, ID (448 miles, 8 hours)

Ø  Ogden to Twin Falls (190 miles) (I-15/84)

Ø  Twin Falls to Stanley (143 miles) (US 93; ID 75)

o   Sawtooth Scenic Byway

Ø  Stanley to Salmon (117 miles) (ID 75)

o    Salmon River Scenic Byway

 

DAY 3 (Friday, July 24 or 31): Salmon to Lewiston (335 miles, 8 hours)

Ø  Salmon to Lolo (130 miles) (US-93)\

o    Salmon River Scenic Byway

Ø  Lolo to Lewiston (205 miles) (US-12)

o    Lewis & Clark Trail / Lolo Pass

o    Northwest Passage Scenic Byway

 

DAY 4 (Sat July 25 or Aug 1): Lewiston to Balfour/Ainsworth Hot Springs, British Columbia (340 miles, 11 hours including ferry ride)

Ø  Lewiston to Coeur d’Alene (117 miles) (US-95; ID-6/3/97)

o    White Pine Scenic Byway

o    Lake Coeur d’Alene Scenic Byway 

Ø  Coeur d’Alene to Sandpoint (46 miles) (US-95)

Ø  Sandpoint to Balfour/Ainsworth Hot Springs, BC (132 miles)(US 2/95; ID 1; Provincial Routes 21/3A W)

o    Kootenay Bay-Balfour Ferry ride (35 minutes)

 

DAY 5 (Sun July 26 or Aug 2):  Balfour, BC to Banff, AB (321 miles, 10 hours)

Ø  Balfour to Revelstoke (144 miles) (Provincial Routes 6/23)

Ø  Shelter Bay-Galena Bay Ferry ride (20 minutes)

Ø  2 nights in Banff (including hotel and park fees)

 

DAY 6 (Mon July 27 or Aug 3):  Banff and Lake Louise sightseeing

 

DAY 7 (Tues July 28 or Aug 4): Banff to Kalispell, MT (300 miles, 9 hours)

 

DAY 8 (Wed. July 29 or Aug 5): Kalispell to Great Falls (244 miles, 8 hours)

Ø  US-2; Going to the Sun Road/Logan Pass; US-89

Ø  Glacier National Park

Ø  2 nights in Great Falls

 

DAY 9 (Thurs. July 30 or Aug 6):  Great Falls, Lewis & Clark sightseeing

Ø  Great Falls Portage National Landmark

Ø  Fort Benton

 

DAY 10 (Friday July 31 or Aug 7):  Great Falls to Crow Agency - Little Bighorn Battlefield (290 miles, 6 hours)

Ø  Billings via US-89/12

Ø  Crow Agency via I-90

Ø  Little Bighorn Battlefield tour (2 hours)

o    Possible evening ride (park open until 8:00 PM)

o    OR

o    Saturday morning ride

 

DAY 11 (Sat Aug 1 or : Crow Agency to Casper (260 miles, 6 hours)

Ø  Little Bighorn Battlefield tour  (2 hours)

Ø  To Casper (220 miles, 4 hours) (I-90; I-25)

 

DAY 12 (Sunday Aug 2 or 9):  Home - Casper to Lakewood (285 miles; 5 hours)
